Lyrics Tube will enable users to find Lyrics and see the YouTube Video / other provider’s Video of the song they are singing at the same time. Obviously, those that want copyrighted content removed will go through the DMCA notice, but it looks like sites such as azlyrics, metrolyrics, etc cope ok with that. But it’s something to discover. Currently Lyrics Tube is in the Beta 1.0 stage, it will indeed have the most basic features. Features that are planned to come soon will include such things as commenting, rating, etc. Don’t wanna give out too much though. Have a happy singing!

Space for FaceTube? Is there any in this social networking jungle?
The social networking jungle…the people in it. The faces… I remember back 3 years ago, when I worked as a clerk at a computer store, I was looking for girls on hi5 (i live in a hole, so there’s no way to meet any physically), and it was medium popular by that time… Now when I check out it’s alex rank, it has skyrocketed to +20 position. The times of FaceBox with a rank of 80 000 alexa , is what I miss… Or the good old facebook explosion period where no one was sure if it was gonna blow up. Since then, FaceBox changed to netlog, and god , to tell you the truth, I hate the new name, it sounds like a piece of wood with a net attached to it, it just doesn’t make sense. Obviously it means “internet logging” but.. i loved facebox more. Well good! Thank you! I’ll take FaceTube. I really wonder though, not out of lack of self confidence, but out of jungle principles, if FaceTube going to survive when we let it roam the wild social networking arena. It will probably get critism from it’s name. But hey, bad publicity is publicity anyways. I can already see blogs attacking the name of the site. Well I’ll write it here first: What’s up with the name FaceTube? Did they copy from YouTube? Ok , I’ll put this flatout right here right now: YouTube has 2 words in it. You and Tube. Did they steal from You.com? Did they steal from Tube.com ? Yes and no. Depends on what angle you look at it. But then someone will ask: “Yea but FaceTube also makes me think of Facebook”. Ok, well let me answer you this: FaceParty, FaceBox, Face.com and any domain with the word face in it. It’s obvious that when you say “FaceTube” it makes you think of “Facebook and Youtube” fused togheter. But then , when you say “Facebook” it makes you think of “Faceparty and YearBook”. You get the drift? We are at liberty of choosing the domain name we want to. Also, remember the success that PornoTube and YouPorn and YouPorno and PornTube had according to TechCruch. If you analyse their stories, it’s a very interesting pattern… There’s just so many tubes out there… Tube.tv also I think is a good example. There’s no lions in this jungle, but is there place to grow up without being a sheep in the hord and being flown away by an eagle? Now that is something that I wish to discover soon enough with FaceTube.
FaceTube in the midst of production
We are currently struggling on finding time in our busy scheduals to work on FaceTube. As of now, we have optimized some javascript and ajax includes, this will obviously make the whole engine behind FaceTube faster. Plus, the coder’s computer got invaded with a virus. There’s something fun in working on such a huge project: the ability to decide what your viewers will see. The coder decides how the site’s brain will operate and me I’ll be deciding visuals and the structure. My role is also market research, a lot of time is spent on finding out what works and what doesn’t with modern social networks. I must also make templates in relation to the ad places, I really don’t want to annoy the visotors with ads, so I have to think of the design according to an ergonomic ad placement. It’s quite a challange but it’s worth it. My hope also is that with FaceTube, we will be able to promote Visoto, YouWiki and a super customizable lyrics site, those are all projects in the making.
Visoto Unrolls It’s New Browsing Feature
Visoto.com/browse is a section that provides the visitor with the top viewed sites using the widget. In the upcoming beta’s you will be able to browse by category, by most viewed and other interesting filters. A search engine will also be soon available, where you can just type in the tags and find widgets. There will also be user added tags that the webmaster will be able to manage. The next features that will be available will be the tag search and the live shoutbox.
Visoto - New Web 2.0 Ajax Widget - Live Online Visitors Display (Counter and Tracker)
Visoto, a new ajax-based widget used to track who’s online on a website, live.. and it’s now public. It is totally free and super easy to install. All the work it requires is basically entering the required info ( That way your site will be browsable on Visoto and you will get more traffic ) and then just copy and paste the widget code into your site. What’s so cool about this widget? It is totally customizable! You can pimp it by setting a custom background image, a background size, or you can make the background transparent. You can also change the color font ( we currently have several choices for you and in the future we will be adding more fonts to the selection as the beta suite unfold ), the font size is also changeable. A nice feature about Visoto is that you can add a title, a description and tags to it. It’s very search engine friendly as we have beautiful URL rewrites. Everything about visoto is web 2.0 - We will soon be unrolling the browsing capability and a live shoutbox for every widget. This way, people on the website can communicate with each other. We have many interesting features coming out in the next beta’s so stay tuned. I just wanted to talk about the tags and browsing: There will be a top list when you click on the browse section, you will be able to see the biggest sites using the widget and this will generate traffic for every webmaster using Visoto. Also, later on there will be categories in the browsing section. This will provide webmasters with free targeted traffic. Have fun!

I found this tool very uselful. It looks like you can just type in the domain name you are interested in and it provides you the detected technologies. Every technology that is profiled from that domain name has a little overview, related technologies and related domains that use it also. Also, this tool rates a site on 5 stars. The rating is based on the mash of web 2.0 apps that the profiled domain has. The more web 2.0 apps, the better rating. So for example, to get a good BuiltWith rating, your site would have to have such tech as LightHTTPD, Widgets, PHP & MySQL, Javascript & Ajax. It’s all about the interactive plugins and agility that your site has.
FaceTube Lite (Beta 1.0) will soon be public.
Now that we got ourselves a server cluster (more details at the end of post), we won’t have to worry about bottleneck effects when the site pops open to the public. For the Lite version, we just thought that it would be good to have only essential features, so that we can tap into the traffic and work on developing the site further. FaceTube Lite (Beta 1.0) will include these features for our little social networking mongors. * Very secure sign up (Human verification using Captcha & email verification). This will help us reduce spammers, so that we get some real traffic and don’t annoy the visitors. BTW, I really don’t know what we’re gonna do agaisnt those african love scammers… If you guys are curious about what revenue flow we’re going to go after, it’s going to be CPM based at first (probably AdultAdWorld’s non-adult ads). Then we’re going to ask either DoubleClick or ValueClick, or Casale Media. Then ultimately, if AdSense or YPN wants us for PPC, we will give them a shot also. We still don’t know where we will place the ads, but we will see about that when the time comes. Why are you surprised? Within my lifetime, I kept hearing that college drop outs are those that succeed the most. I’m a college drop out also, and I run several sites at the moment with about 60 000 unique visitors per day. She angers me though. There’s an army of indians(I’m not Indian & got nothing agaisnt them, its just the truth) working on pimp sites and yet this girl made it, within 3 years that is, by using the raw power that myspace customizable profiles has to offer. The thing is that, right after you see this kind of news, the first thing that pops up in your mind is, duh, why don’t I start a myspace pimp site too? Well see, you can, go do that , why don’t you? I hope that you got a server cluster and a good blend of knowledge in photoshop, server management, coding, seo optimization and whatever else it takes to be .. her! Her mom helps her out it seems like it… and they bought a house. A new shiny little-big-ass mansion that is. Obviously when you make that kinda money you buy a house. Did you see her pet? Yep, her pet got a bigger house. But that’s not the point. Qualls went after her friends and enslaved them to work for her new bord company. Hey friends! Why don’t you work for me? I’ll pay you 14$ per hour while I make 70 effing K. That my friends is why I quit my day job and started my own business. Don’t like being stomped on. I mean imagine that, you got this friend that makes .07 mil per month and asks you to WORK for her for a wage. What the hell. How could of they accepted? That’s funny. Cause it’s not true. She said that exactly when her alexa spiked to that number, but then it went back down to 3/5th of her traffic, so no, it’s not 7 mil per month, it’s more like 3-4 mil. Hey that’s great, when I went on her site for the first time I saw it in the news, my antivirus pop up saying there’s a worm trying to install itself. Thank god I got AntiVir that scans absolutely everything. So great, you stroke a deal with a shady business, and you get a lot of money and attention, enought that is to buy a mansion. Plus it looks like she thinks that her site is gonna be so popular that she even started a magazine. I mean come on, who would ever stick by this. What’s next? A video section and maybe your own social network? Lol. Even if you do that, your audience won’t stick cause you ride the back of MySpace, they would just end up getting back into the diluted sea of pimp sites. I browsed around her site and it truly has nothing special… Makes me think of pimpmyspace that got owned after MySpace decided to not allow it’s embeds due to the domain name. Her has has that little I love you icon, how smart. Kinda like a presidential candidate kissing some random kids right before the election. Her site has little content and got such a bad navigation, I really felt like I was riding in a wheelchair with sticks in the wheels. Obviously on the short term she’s gonna get some success, we’ll see what will she spin off this site, that gets 13-15 year old girls ona daily basis snatching glittery content. Good thing they got adsense and doubleclick in that site, otherwise, adbrite would of made her pennies. I felicitate her, yet I got the feeling I’m going to be writing about her soon.
